Hello There!
welcome to musica
Musica is an independent live music venue and tavern in Downtown Akron, Ohio’s Historic Arts District. Est. 2006. We host mostly original live music, dance parties, DJs, comedians, markets, and more! Music is what we are passionate about–it’s in our name after all!
Our tavern is stocked with a nice selection of great liquor, an ever changing menu of seasonal craft drafts, domestic and imported beers, and go-to cocktails.
Pick up a pizza from our upstairs neighbors at Totally Baked Pizza to keep yourself fed.
Always free water in the corner to the right of the bar. Please stay hydrated.
Find us under the Dance sign on Maiden Lane.

Are there any age restrictions? - Most of the musical events at musica are all ages. Any Events that are not all ages will be noted. Parent or guardian must be present if under 16. There is no re-entry for those under 21. Some events may require an underage surcharge of $2-5.
What’s the seating situation? We’ve got multiple cocktail and a few larger big top tables and nearly 50 stools and chairs available on a first come basis. Some of our higher attended and/or sold out shows may require the removal of seating and tables to accommodate concert-goers. Please let an employee know upon arrival if you need a seat due to medical or disability reasons.
Are there any hotels nearby? you can find our partners at blu-tique right across the street from Musica on the corner of Main and Market. That’s your best bet for a nearby hotel stay!
Where should we eat and / or hang out before and after the show? We’ve got two amazing bars right upstairs from Musica. High Street Hop House is your spot for great craft beer, bourbon, and cocktails. Baxter’s Speakeasy specializes in high end cocktails and shots of fernet. Both bars are connected by a large event space and art gallery. Totally Baked Pizza is connected to both and serves up chef driven pizza, subs, and more! Additionally, we are located in the Downtown Akron Historic Arts District; there you can find the Akron Art Museum, Akron Coffee Roasters, The Nightlight Movie Theater, Blu Jazz+, Circle of Fiths, Blu-Tique hotel, Chameleon Cafe, and Akronym Brewing. There are loads of great spaces to explore, eat, and drink in downtown Akron and surrounding areas; check out downtown akron partnership for all of the great things to do!
Can I bring food into Musica? We don’t mind if you bring in food from Totally Baked Pizza! In fact we encourage it! But please don’t bring any other outside food or drink into Musica.
Where should we park? Parking is a breeze when you’re coming to Musica! Event parking is FREE at the LIBRARY PARKING DECK at 40 S. HIGH STREET, on the corner of Market and High Street. This deck is across the street from the Akron Art Museum and attached to Akronym Brewing. Take the cross-walk at Market Street, walk west a tiny bit, then down Maiden Lane and you’ll be at Musica! Parking is free on nights and weekends. Please don’t park in the lot on Maiden Lane outside of Musica as those spots are reserved for residents of The Lofts and those with handicap needs.
Is Musica Dog Friendly? We love our canine friends, but dogs, loud music, food, and drink just don’t mix. Please leave the pups at home unless they are a trained service dog.
Is Musica ADA accessible? At this time there are two steps down from the box office to the main floor and bar area. We are happy to help you enter through our side patio entrance. Please ask for assistance upon arrival.
Are you hiring? At this time, probably not. If we are seeking to hire we will make a post on our website and social media pages.
Can I bring my camera to take photos? Unless otherwise specified, we don’t mind if you bring your camera. Please be respectful to those around you whom are there to see the show. We don’t have a photo pit so you can just shoot to your hearts extent wherever in the venue. We kindly request that you refrain from using flash.
How can my band play at musica? Take a look at our booking page below for information about playing a show.
Does Musica take a cut of merchandise sales from artists? No. Artists sell their tees and music, we sell beers and make the room sound good. Together we have a great night.
